+ * "git cvsserver" no longer is invoked by "git daemon" by default,
+   as it is old and largely unmaintained.

+ * Various Perl scripts did not use safe_pipe_capture() instead of
+   backticks, leaving them susceptible to end-user input.  They have
+   been corrected.
